Plaza de Armas Bus Station

 The Metropolitan Transport Plan for the Seville Area: Sustainable Mobility Plan, approved by Decree 188/2006, on October 31st (BOJA no. 234, December 4th), declares the Plaza de Armas Bus Station of metropolitan interest.

By Order of the Department of Public Works and Housing on April 16, 2010 (BOJA no. 117, June 16th), the management powers, prerogatives, and obligations over the Plaza de Armas Bus Station in Seville have been attributed to the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Seville Area, taking over the rights and obligations that the Department of Public Works and Housing had as the granting entity for the service regarding the titleholder of its exploitation concession.

The Plaza de Armas Bus Station was built for the Expo '92 and is located near the Guadalquivir river dock between Torneo Street and Avda Cristo de la Expiración. It has 43 platforms from which more than 1,500 entries or exits are made daily and is equipped with a spacious waiting hall with cafeteria services, newsstand, gift shop, ticket offices, and luggage storage.

The Plaza de Armas Bus Station is used by an average of more than 15,000 passengers/day, being a stop for departures and arrivals of metropolitan, provincial, regional, national, and international public road transport lines.

• Metropolitan services: Connections to 36 towns in the Metropolitan Area, coordinated by the Metropolitan Transport Consortium of the Seville Area.
• Provincial services: Connections to Sierra Norte. And some municipalities of the Vega del Guadalquivir, such as Tocina, Alcolea del Río, and Peñaflor.
• Regional services: Connections to the provinces of Almería, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, and Málaga. 
• National services: Connections to the Autonomous Communities of Valencia, Catalonia, Extremadura, Madrid, Galicia, Basque Country, Murcia, Asturias, and Castilla-León. 
• International: Connections to France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Romania, and Morocco.
